Recent trends in England mental health policy：‘No health without mental health’

Abstract

|
England Government published ’No health without mental health’, its cross-government, all-age strategy for mental health in England on 2 February 2011. The strategy sets six overarching objectives, aimed at improving the mental health and wellbeing of the whole population and improving outcomes for service users. Outcomes frameworks or the NHS, social care and public health will be key to measuring progress against those objectives. This paper summarises the strategy’s six objectives and describes how progress will be measured. It also outlines further work to support implementation, which will be taken forward over the next year and beyond.
